On July 3rd, Dayton William Dix was welcomed into the world. He arrived at 3:29 AM at 7 lb 13 oz and 20 1/2 inches long.
Mike and I are so thankful to have had a wonderful team to help with Dayton's arrival. Amanda Moore, our friend and doula taught us so much leading up to the labor and we could not have had such an incredible experience without her (http://www.holisticexpectations.com/) Thank you ENDLESSLY, Amanda.
We were INCREDIBLY lucky to have had Nancy be our Labor and Delivery nurse at Memorial Hermann hospital in Katy. She was very supportive of our birth plan and wishes and guided us throughout the experience to a very successful end.
Mom, Dad and Dayton will be going home from the hospital on Sunday early afternoon. We look forward to rejoining the rest of our clan (Mikki, Piper, Tiger) with our new wonderful two-legged addition, Dayton.
Thank you all for your support and love during this amazing time.
Congratulations! He's just beautiful.

I can attest to the fact that Dayton made a very loud, healthy entrance into the world. He was very alert, happy and hungry ! when he arrived. It was wonderful watching a hungry newborn latch on so quickly and be so alert, as opposed to being sedated. Jill and Mike...you were a perfect labor team.
