Visit to the Pediatrician

We had an eventful day yesterday. Dayton had his first visit with his Pediatrician, Dr. Kavin. It was a bit traumatic for Mom, Dad and Dayton but overall, Dayton was a real trooper. He even had to have blood drawn for a standard test and while he was not happy about it, he calmed down immediately afterwards. Everyone was pretty tired after the 3 hour event.

The wonderful news is that Dayton is gaining weight amazingly well. All I can say is that I'm proud of my 'little sucker'. When he left the hospital, he weighed 7 lb 1 oz and 48 hours later at the doctor's office yesterday weighed in at 7 lb 9 oz. As of yesterday, his weight is the 40% and length is 70%. We got the green light to move up to feeding in the evenings every 4 hours rather then 3. Yeah! More sleep for Mom! Dayton is doing wonderfully at night, by the way, consistently sleeping between feedings. Love him!

The weather outside was actually tolerable last night. Dayton hung outside with Mom and Dad for the first time and we snapped these shots.
Here are a few pictures from yesterday.
